Phoenix @ Jordan Hall

All roads lead to Beethoven, and this road begins in France, in the 12th century, with music by the Comtessa de Dia. We move through the boundary-pushing 17th century with the perfectly named Jean-Fery Rebel to a reimagined symphony featuring 18th century contemporaries Mozart, Bologne, and Gossec. Our journey culminates in the early 19th century with Beethoven’s wild and rambunctious 7th Symphony.
